We're constantly striving to create a fun and positive workplace. Here's how we do it...
Our team is made up of an knowledgeable and forward-thinking group of individuals across a variety departments. Our team has now grown to over 50 in numbers, but certainly hasn't lost the close-knit friendly feel it's developed over the years.
We have a staff engagement committee, with a rep from each department. This group provides a platform for team members to bring ideas to the table (as well as being the brains behind our events, parties and other staff initiatives).
Our vision to be the fitness equipment company to work for, the best to work with and to constantly strive to be better every day.
To achieve this, we take feedback very seriously, both from our customers as well as from our team. We recognise that the first step in becoming the best company to work with, is developing a team in which everyone understands their role and believes in what we're trying to achieve. Origin Fitness has been awarded Investors in People status four years in a row, so you know we don't just talk the talk.

The knowledge and expertise of our team is what sets us apart from other companies in the fitness industry. That is why we actively promote continued professional development for all our staff; from modern apprenticeship schemes, to attendance at workshops, seminars and conferences.
We take our time introducing all new staff to the business and to our industry, and it's important to us that we offer the support they need to apply their unique skills within the company.
We like to get to know each other, whether that's in the workplace or at one of out-of-office events. Our staff engagement committee regularly organise after work drinks, events and other team building activities.
You'll find us using the staff gym before work, during lunch, and in the evening. Don't worry though, fitness definitely isn't a pre-requisite to working at Origin. If you'd like advice on how to get more active we have a full-time master trainer who can help with gym introductions and fitness programming.
To help fuel you through the working day, we provide a fully stocked fruit bowl for all staff at head office. This is just one of the many initiatives introduced via our staff engagement committee.
There's plenty of parking at our head office, and it's always absolutely free. You can also reach our office easily by public transport from Edinburgh City Centre.
As a team, we love coffee. Actually, that should probably read 'need coffee'. That's why we always provide free tea and coffee at head office. (Thankfully our Managing Director Paul is a coffee connoisseur, so it's the good stuff).
Every December we celebrate the end of the year and everyone's hard work in style. Our annual festive party has taken place at some of Edinburgh's nicest venues in recent years.
We know businesses like ours can make a huge difference towards making the UK carbon neutral. That is why, as an ISO14001 accredited company, we are proud to say that all our processes are regularly reviewed to make sure we are as green as possible.
The health and safety of anyone we work with is always at the top of our priorities. Our efforts have been independently acknowledged, as we've been awarded an OHSAS18001 accreditation for health and safety management.
We want to make sure that our clients are as pleased with our products as we are. That is why quality control is our third priority, and we are proud to announce that we have been awarded the ISO9001 of Quality Control, making us one of the only businesses in the industry to have a triple accreditation.
